The 13th EuroSpeleo Forum is going to take place in the National Education Centre of the Red Cross Dolni Lozen, Sofia, Bulgaria, from 26th to 29th September 2019.
Organized by the Bulgarian Federation of Speleology and Cave Rescue Bulgaria on behalf of the European Speleological Federation.
Program of 13th EuroSpeleo Forum 26-29 September 2019, Dolni Lozen, Sofia, Bulgaria
Under the motto “90 years of organized speleology in Bulgaria and 45 years of cave rescue in Bulgaria” the forum will provide a variety of activities to make it interesting and useful for each participant.
Some of them are:
- Presentations, poster presentations and symposia about cave explorations and expeditions, cave biology and bio speleology, cave geology, geomorphology and geography of karst, cave protection and cave rescue;
- 2nd EuroSpeleo Show Cave Symposium;
- Speleo-Olympic competitions;
- Caving, mountain and cultural trips included in the pre-meeting program (21-25 September) and during the forum.
- Cavers’ parties in the evenings.

Pre-meeting Program
There are two main pre-meeting activities, located in different places in Bulgaria.
One of them is in beautiful and wild Western Rhodopes mountain – “Kastrakli 2019” from 21st to 25thSeptember.
The other one includes cave tours near Sofia – “Guided cave tours near Sofia” (24-25 September) and first 2 days of the Forum (26-27 September). The caves are not showcaves.
